ITW Pro Brands has 3 manufacturing facilities (Olathe, KS, Tucker, GA and DeWitt, IA)  and employs 250+ individuals.

Job Description

Summary:

The Staff Accountant will report to the ITW Pro Brands Fluids North America Accounting Manager and be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day accounting and administration functions of the accounting department to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in the general ledger and to support the financial reporting and control requirements. This is an on-site position based out of Tucker, GA.

Essential Duties:

  • Record Travel and Purchasing Card expenses to the general ledger weekly and reconcile to bank transactions at month end.
  • Prepare and post various journal entries to support the month end close process, review work products and ensures timely completion of tasks.
  • Review, analyze, and code freight invoices.  Notify carriers of invoice errors.
  • Ensure assigned balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly. Conducting and probing account analysis and reconciliations
  • Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and annual closing close procedures.
  • Manage and calculate customer rebates and commissions.
  • Maintain rebate, commission, and marketing program accruals.
  • Prepares monthly sales tax calculations and payments, as well as QST/GST for sales in Canada.
  • Issue credits for customer deductions and validate that deductions adhere to current contracts.
  • Review new and revised/updated contracts for financial impact.
  • Set up new vendors in the ERP system.
  • Review internal controls efficiency
  • Focus on continuous improvement by applying 80/20 principles to drive process improvement.
  • Act with integrity and trust, operate with simplicity, treat everyone with respect, and take shared risk.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (3+ years of experience in accounting/publicly traded company)
  • Experience working with information technology, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Navision, Salesforce and Concur experience are major pluses.
  • Travel to other division locations may be required at various times throughout the year.

Travel:

Travel to other division locations may be required at various times throughout the year.
