Position Overview
This is a skilled position requiring the employee to perform preparation, review and administration of contractual proposals relating to construction projects. This position will require the selected candidate to work in Cañon City CO.
Wage ranges from $22.00 to $26.00 per hour dependent on experience.
- Facilitates the startup of all contract administration paperwork including payment and performance bonds, insurance requirements and W-9’s
- Assist Estimators in the bid preparation
- Job setup in the accounting system, change order entry, and quantity revisions.
- Preparation of contracts, insurance COI requests/requirements
- Maintains project job lists and updates work under contract lists
- Enters Job Billings, lien letter, lien releases processed and returned prior to payment, and follows up with payment status of billings.
- Maintains compliance requirements for municipality and DOT projects.
- Receives requests, updates records, initiates paperwork and follows up on request for approval of work not previously covered in the contract; processes and obtains approval of contract changes.
- Monitors compliance to contract requirements ensuring all conditions are satisfied before approval of the final invoice
- Assists in compiling and preparing bid documents and bidders list, including inquiry preparations, request for bids and recommendations for award of contract
- Knowledge of the laws and ordinances regulating building construction in Colorado and New Mexico.
- Complete paperwork for contractor licensing for federal, state, and municipal agencies
- Other duties as assigned per supervisor.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree GED is preferred.
Work Requirements
- One (1) to Two (2) years previous related experience/training is preferred.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have (or be able to quickly gain) knowledge of Internet software, Excel, Word, Outlook, and other job-related software.
