Junior Accounting Clerk (Remote / Must have PROCAS)

Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience using PROCAS and will support the accounting team in processing financial transactions, maintaining records, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in accounting or related field preferred.
• 6 months of accounting or clerical experience (internship or entry-level work is acceptable).
• Experience with PROCAS software is required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform data entry for accounting transactions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Maintain and organize financial records and documentation.
• Reconcile bank accounts and vendor statements.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Assist in tracking project costs and timekeeping using PROCAS software.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate data entry.
• Process employee expense reports and verify accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Assist in month-end closing activities.
• Respond to vendor and client inquiries regarding billing and payment issues.
• Perform general administrative tasks related to the accounting department.
