About the Role

As a Patient Scheduling Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for scheduling patient care, ensuring all appointments are handled efficiently and with compassion. Your role is vital in connecting patients with the care they need while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining accurate records.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Six months of related experience or equivalent training is preferred.
• Skills:
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Bonus Points: Experience in healthcare scheduling or patient services is a plus

What You’ll Do

• Schedule and reschedule appointments for office visits, lab tests, radiology, and infusion services
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
• Handle incoming calls and emails related to scheduling inquiries
• Provide general assistance to patients, including appointment reminders and necessary documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Medical Records, Insurance, and clinical staff, to address patient needs
• Cross-train with other schedulers to ensure a cohesive team environment

Physical Requirements

This role involves prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer, occasional walking and standing as needed, and minimal travel with potential for additional hours during peak times.
