Canteen, a division of Compass Group North America, has an Associate Director of Business Development (ADBD) position available This professional top-performer will work under the supervision of the National Sales VP, while learning all the steps of the sales process with a focus on strategic prospecting that leads to the generation of new opportunities. Other responsibilities include maintaining full product knowledge and researching targeted accounts to build potential customer relationships. The ADBD will be responsible for assuring profitable market growth through the procurement and support of new national accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Execute strategic prospecting strategy: 
•    Systematic approach to prospecting by tailoring messages and frequency to various buying influences
•    Use of CRM to document and track activity for key pursuits on the national team
•    Develop Vertical growth (MCC) approaches, working with operations to generate leads and opportunities
•    Use of the internet, Zoom Info and other data sources, social networking to connect in relatable ways
•    Work with marketing to leverage resources and analytics to support efforts for strategic proposal and presentation
•    Work in collaboration with Sales VP and Sales Directors to cultivate and close targeted accounts
•    Communicate effectively across the organization both horizontally and vertically. Partner with operating colleagues
•    Research targeted accounts and prospective buyers to gain perspective on organizational business needs, current state of services, and pain points in order to begin developing a prospecting strategy
•    Build trust with prospects by understanding industry and trending business challenges, becoming proficient in product knowledge and making meaningful connections
•    Work closely with Sales Directors to coordinate initial meetings and transition of opportunities.
•    Network with cross sector sellers and sales leaders to align on ways we can grow cross sector business opportunities and add value
•    Strong sales and sales-related function skills including commitment to Compass Sales Process
•    Lead strategic proposal organization
•    Drive win ratio for strategic business plan
•    Drive PBO in supporting ales directors in understanding CBI, WITY and negotiating strong deals as a result.

Qualifications:


•    Bachelor's Degree preferred
•    3-5 years of experience in new business development or lead generation, preferably in the contract management industry, or prior operations experience where growth was a key differential in your operating strategy.  
•    Strong computer skills and ability to work with CRM database management system
•    Ability to represent the organization at a variety of industry and non-industry events
•    Ability to multi-task and establish priorities; strong time management skills
•    Excellent communication skills
•    High energy level, strong executive presence and the ability to progress further in the organization
