Production Systems Engineer, Foundation Labs

Meta is seeking an experienced candidate to join the Foundation Labs team as an Production Systems Engineer. The Production Systems Engineer sets the framework for processes enabling work on hardware within our labs, and then delivers automation for scale. This requires labs that are fully remote and seamlessly accessible across multiple geographical regions along with offering standardized tooling, enabling the end users (engineers) to focus on platform development and thereby also attempting to reduce the time from Engineering lab to Data Center labs through production. The Production Systems Engineer is a critical role in continuing to accelerate hardware development at Meta.

• Build the test tools and automation frameworks to optimize development, integration, deployment and lifecycle management of hardware systems in Meta Labs and Data Centers
• Constantly work to improve throughput and reliability of our continuous test systems and processes
• Provide the framework to users who require access to various systems within labs, through remote managed access
• Ensure availability of hardware and software within labs for end users, through automated tools
• Drive scalability and reliability of labs tools, enabling operational success of core functions through automation
• Enable initial functionality of tools required for systems provisioning within engineering and production environments

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience as Software Systems Professional
• Proficient in object oriented programming (Python or C++)
• Proficiency with git or similar source management tools
• Experienced working in Linux Systems Environments
• In depth troubleshooting and analytical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experienced in developing tools and services for automation
• Experienced with leading-edge technologies and micro services like Docker
• Experienced with Javascript and PHP and Hack
• Experienced with REST/ GraphQL / MySql
• Experienced with Jenkins or similar automation framework
• Familiar with configuration management systems like Chef
• Familiar with Storage, compute and network hardware design and development
• Experienced in providing datacenter production support at scale
