Position Overview
The Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission (IWCC) is seeking a talented individual for the position of Executive I. Under direction, incumbent manages the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission's statewide transcript production program, and assists Public Service Administrator of Court Reporters with special projects and reports.
Essential Functions
- Acts as the Court Reporting Department Liaison disseminating information in a professional manner relating to rules and procedures for filing a Review and destruction/retention of exhibits.
- Monitors cases from arbitration level to appellate level of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission utilizing the CompFile system and updates the cases in the departmental case file spreadsheets.
- Assists Court Reporter Supervisor in all departmental functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of college preferably with course work in business or public administration.
- Requires 1 year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers at least 2 years of extensive knowledge of the rules, practices, and procedures of the IWCC with a broad and general knowledge of the functions and activities of the program divisions within the Commission
