Based on low-cost web3 weather stations, WeatherXM allows anyone to become a weather station operator and earn rewards for collecting and validating weather data.</p><p>WeatherXM’s vision is to act as a web3 weather oracle to be used by on-chain protocols that have to make decisions based on weather conditions.</p><p>WeatherXM AG has raised $5M in seed funding to fuel the growth of their community-powered IoT weather station network. Placeholder VC led the round, joined by metaplanet, ConsenSys Mesh, dlab (SOSV), Protocol Labs, Borderless Capital, DLTx and several prominent angel investors including Juan Benet (Filecoin), Maxwell Krohn, Dimitris Togias and Ele Diakomichalis (Radicle).</p><p>We are looking for a <strong>Senior DevOps Engineer</strong> to join our dedicated cross-functional team and help build functional systems that improve customer experience. You should be able to deploy product updates, identify production issues and implement integrations that meet team &amp; customer needs. If you have a solid background in software engineering and are familiar with Kubernetes and Cloud Services, we would like to meet you. Ultimately, you will execute and automate operational processes fast, accurately and securely.<br/></p><p>We expect you to be a team player and have a desire to participate in a startup that is constantly changing and growing, and be responsible for making some really cool stuff happen.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul> <li>Implement integrations requested by customers</li> <li>Deploy updates and fixes</li> <li>Provide Level 2 technical support</li> <li>Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience</li> <li>Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems</li> <li>Perform root cause analysis for production errors</li> <li>Investigate and resolve technical issues</li> <li>Develop scripts to automate visualisation</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>5+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a related field, such as Systems Administration, Cloud Engineer</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Docker or other container technologies</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Kubernetes</li> <li>Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms, namely Github Actions, Argo CI/CD.</li> <li>Experience working in an automation-driven infrastructure, including concepts like Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)</li> <li>Knowledge of High-Availability concepts and Security best-practices</li> <li>Strong scripting or programming skills for automating tasks (Shell or Python)</li> <li>Familiarity with multiple storage backends: MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL</li> <li>Experience working with Linux environments and a Linux mindset!</li> <li>Problem-solving attitude</li> <li>Organisational skills, analytical mind, ability to take ownership of a task and deliver on it - all these in the right balance</li> <li>Strong sense of humour, because we are all fun to be around and want to keep it this way</li> </ul><h3><br/></h3><p><strong>You get bonus points, if you have:<br/> </strong></p><ul> <li>Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field</li> <li>Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services (MSK, RDS, EKS, ElastiCache, etc)</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Web3 technologies (IPFS, Ethereum, Blockchain, etc)</li> <li>Experience with the following tools and technologies is preferred: Terraform, Ansible</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>At WeatherXM we are investing in people that will contribute to the growth of the no.1 people powered weather company in the industry.
