ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Financial Reporting Manager’s main responsibility is to manage and drive financial reporting through utilization of industry’s best practices, tools, and processes. This role will be a key provider of financial statements and reporting to the company’s constituents, including debt holders, equity holders, and trade partners, such as vendors.The Financial Reporting Manager will serve as an important leader within the Company’s finance organization, contributing to the development of and compliance with standard frameworks and practices that enable accurate and timely financial statements. This role will have significant visibility to executive leadership throughout the Company, including CAO and CFO, and will maintain close working relationships with several members within the finance organization. As such, the individual in this role needs to be comfortable with a high degree of variability in their role and job function. This role should exemplify and advocate the company culture, values, and principles.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Execute the monthly consolidation process for the Company.
- Own the financial reporting process, including monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial statements and other ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Work cross-functionally to answer financial reporting questions, ensuring all departments can pull necessary financial data timely and accurately.
- Oversee OneStream, the Company’s consolidation and reporting system.
- Build relationships with Company’s leaders to support understanding of and gain insights from departmental and consolidated financial results.
- Support continuous improvement and reduced cycle time in the monthly close and reporting process through the increased utilization of technology and tools, implementation of standard operating procedures, and other efficient measures.
- Assist with drafting, implementing, and maintaining financial policies and procedures for company-wide use.
- Implement processes and controls to ensure compliance with internal control frameworks, US GAAP, and Company policies.
- Coordinate with and support external auditors for interim and annual audit.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Master’s degree in accounting or MBA preferred.
- CPA required.
- 6+ years of relevant and progressive accounting experience, particularly in financial reporting.
- Big 4 accounting and/or large US public company experience preferred.
- Strong understanding and practical working knowledge of US GAAP.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills: ability to quickly establish a personal brand within the organization to drive cross functional collaboration and influence resources outside one’s direct responsibility.
- Ability to focus on the overall objective for a given process or accounting area, while at the same time able to dive into transactional detail if needed to resolve questions or issues.
- Curious mindset that proactively seeks understanding and feedback.
