Staff Accountant

Position Title:  Staff Accountant

Department: Finance

Reports To: Controller

        

General Summary: The Accounting Associate will be responsible for assisting in various accounting activities to support the company's financial operations.

     

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Record and reconcile daily transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable entries
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records
• Assist with inventory management and valuation
• Support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed
• Financial analysis and reporting as required
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as accounting principles and regulations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance
• Prior accounting experience is a plus
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus
