Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Deputy Systems Engineering (SE) Cross Product Team (CPT) Lead to join our team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline supporting the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) Program.

The LTAMDS Deputy SE CPT Lead role is responsible for technical oversight, management, staffing and support for all Systems Engineering program deliverables, CDRLs, PMO and customer presentations and provides support across the CPT. You will oversee all aspects of planning, execution and verification for all LTAMDS and GhostEye work products for the program area and provide day-to-day tactical support to program leads & execution leads within CPT.

Every day will bring new challenges, requiring you to collaborate across disciplines to troubleshoot issues, perform data analysis, and implement solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the success of mission-critical defense systems, and you'll have a hands-on role in ensuring the entire system functions seamlessly.

This position can be based in Tewksbury, MA or Huntsville, AL

What you will do:

In this Deputy SE CPT Lead role, you will perform and/or support the following activities:

  • Collaborate with the SE CPT lead to drive execution of the Systems Engineering scope across the LTAMDS and Ghosteye portfolio

  • Work closely with execution team leads and program leads to track progress and identify issues and opportunities,

  • Support weekly program management material creation to communicate progress and issues

  • Review program R&O boards to make sure risks that have been identified are boarded

  • Provide support to EAC execution across the program area department, directorate, and engineering leadership

  • Provide coaching & guidance to program leads in the development of EAC position and variance analysis

  • Participate in regular coordination with the functional/discipline leads to support program staffing, process, and execution


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in related Systems Engineering or Multi-Disciplined Engineering

  • Experience as a team lead or IPTL with a team size of 10 or more

  • Experience effectively leading multidisciplinary teams of systems engineering professionals

  • Experience leading teams and IPT’s, using tools and metrics in managing activities, and interfacing with senior program and functional management

  • Experience in preparing customer and/or management level briefings

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience as a Lead Systems Engineer or Chief Engineer on previous programs

  • Technical leadership and guidance of multi-disciplined teams in the design and development of system requirements and design.

  • Experience in schedule development, action item management, requirement change management and overall development and progress metrics

  • Experience working with external customers; including USG, or FMS partners

  • EVMS Certified (or equivalent)

  • Experience in navigating the organization and working with stakeholders across the company to develop solutions to key program challenges
