Position Summary

As a Senior Marketing Manager on the billion dollar DiGiorno business you will play the central role in driving the strategy and execution to deliver business growth, expanding brand equity and engaging with consumers. You will lead the development of our long-term strategy, the annual commercialization plans and day-to-day marketing execution to achieve business objectives and grow market share. The Senior Marketing Manager leads cross-functional teams to deliver portfolio and product roadmaps, innovation, brand strategy, and monthly business performance. As a key member of the Pizza & Snacking Business Team, you will lead a team of Brand Marketing Associates and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Finance, and Product Development to ensure executional excellence of our annual business plans.  In this role, you leverage actionable insights to drive end-to-end optimization, identify and drive innovation, and unlock consumer & customer value and sustainable profitable growth. 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the brand’s annual plan consistent with the 3-year strategic plan including alignment and articulation of brand strategies and tactics to deliver both annual and long-term objectives. The plan is a full end-to-end business strategy encompassing all aspects of marketing and business strategy including new product development and launches, renovation, market research,  and operational and supply needs
  • Explore and incorporate new approaches to brand innovation in the brand’s innovation strategy including new business models, distribution strategies, and strategic partnerships
  • Develop a deep understanding of the demographics, psychographics, and behavioral drivers of the brand’s consumer through data
  • Translate strategic plans into an annual commercial plan to drive sales and marketing tactics through retailer channels and partners
  • Lead the monthly operating process to deliver and capitalize monthly sales and ensure for accurate forecasting to mitigate supply challenges. Track sales, consumption, and consumer trends to identify gaps in performance relative to forecasts.  Drives end-to-end optimization, scouring the P&L
  • Within the context of the division's product innovation strategy, identify the brand's unique approach and the consumer benefits it delivers to define the brand’s innovation initiative
  • Understand, validate and/or develop the consumer’s hidden universal truths to drive relevant innovation
  • In collaboration with cross-functional and external experts, generate innovation ideas then select winning opportunities to pursue for brand innovation and renovation
  • Build an inclusive culture through team development and leading by example to motivate and inspire direct reports and cross-functional teams supporting the brand to exceed high performance target
  • Actively communicate expectations and provide regular feedback through a robust performance management process, working with each team member to evaluate performance, provide feedback, training and build appropriate development plans
  • Participate in talent recruitment and selection to staff the organization, building an inclusive, diverse culture through team development, recruitment, and partner selection

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred.  
  • 6+ years previous experience in marketing or sales with 2 years influencing, developing, and leading high performing teams required
  • Demonstrated success managing a multimillion-dollar brand
  • Experience in Consumer Goods Industry a plus, includ
