Job Summary:

Makes decisions regarding daily priorities for the adult day care program. Coordinates work activities, monitors adherence to schedules and reports resource issues. Applies substantial knowledge and experience to perform a wide range of advanced activities and/or determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals; serves as working supervisor for team or work group. Assists the Program Director in day-to-day operations and management of the Adult Day Care Program.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  • Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Five years' geriatric care experience: Preferred
  • Experience in a supervisory level in a home care or community based program: Preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Assists the Program Director in day-to-day operations and management of the Adult Day Care Program.
  • Assists with mobility including ambulating and transferring. Administers prescribed medication as ordered by the attending physician.
  • Assists the Program Director in monitoring, supervising, and the discipline of employees.
  • Assists with snack preparation and ensures all food areas are cleaned and items stored appropriately. Monitors food items and notifies supervisor when needing to restock.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
