Job Description

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Administrative Program Coordinator, Dean’s Office, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine [R0148776]

ROLE of the POSITION

The Administrative Program Coordinator in the Office of the Dean at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine (KSOM) provides advanced administrative, operational, and strategic program coordination in support of schoolwide initiatives. This position plays a key role in organizing and facilitating activities related to academic operations, accreditation readiness, executive scheduling, event and project management, and cross-departmental communication. The role serves as a central point of contact between the Dean’s Office and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the school’s strategic goals and compliance with institutional and accrediting body standards.

This position directly supports the Dean, Chief of Staff, and academic leadership by managing operational processes and high-priority initiatives across multiple units. The coordinator works independently to plan, execute, and monitor academic and administrative programs that impact faculty affairs, student services, and strategic partnerships with hospitals, state agencies, and NSHE institutions. The role often leads short-term projects, prepares reports, and ensures timely completion of deliverables related to accreditation (LCME), program evaluation, and academic policy implementation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 3-5 years of experience.  Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.
