Description
Position Overview Freezing Point is the maker of Frazil, the fastest-growing frozen beverage company in the US with machines all over the nation. We are a growing, high-performance team in search of a Senior Accountant to support our core financial processes and preparation of financial statements.This is a new role that will provide direct support to our Accounting Manager and Director of Finance. Ideal candidates will have 3-4 years of accounting experience, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and be ready to hit the ground running.
Salary: $85,000 - $95,000/annually
Note: This is a fully onsite position located in Salt Lake City, UT.
Key Responsbilities
- Directly maintain financial records, including month-end close, journal entries, accruals, amortization, and depreciation
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Ensure compliance via accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Manage sales tax compliance in various states, including preparing and filing returns
- Assist in annual external financial statement audits
- Document and innovate accounting processes and policies to meet the needs of the growing company
- Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects, both long- and short-term as needed
- Support other accounting and finance functions as required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, master’s degree preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting with strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with accounting software (SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks)
- Expert-level proficiency abilities in Microsoft Excel
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, master’s degree preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting with strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with accounting software (SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks)
- Expert-level proficiency abilities in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of SQL
- Experience with sales and property tax compliance
- You are an accounting powerhouse with strong foundation in accounting principles. You understand accounting, budgeting, and financial statement concepts, and you excel at interpreting and analyzing accounting data to inform decisions.
- You have a passion for details. You aren’t daunted by high-volume (sometimes routine) tasks and have mastered the art of finding proverbial finance “needles in the haystack”.
