Job Summary

The registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. The registered nurse provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Oversees other assigned team members and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide population specific care in accordance with the BORN regulations and professional standards of care.

Clinical care in the Cardiac Rehab program requires management of patients in the rehabilitation phase of their recovery from cardiac events or diseases which include, MI, PCI, valve surgery, CABG, heart failure, heart transplant, angina, and other complex varieties of heart disease. The program consists of monitored exercise, strength, yoga, meditation, and educational presentations. Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry and vital signs during exercise, group patient education, completing individualized treatment plans, physical assessment, and evaluations of patients. Must be comfortable interpreting telemetry rhythms, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and responding quickly to adverse events.

Bachelor's Degree Nursing required

Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required

Experience
Demonstrated clinical competence and experience as required by the specific job posting/specialty area. required

Qualifications:

Current MA RN license required

BSN required

Minimum of 5 years nursing experience required

Cardiac telemetry experience required

Previous ED or critical care experience required

BLS & ACLS required

Previous cardiac rehab experience preferred

- Individualizes a plan of care based on assessments and in collaboration with the patient/family/ significant other, as well as, appropriate resources and multidisciplinary team members.
