Your Responsibilities

 

As a Business Unit Leader, Maintenance for John Deere Horicon Works located in Horicon, WI, centrally located between Milwaukee and Madison you will...

 

• Direct the Maintenance Operations for all Horicon Works Facilities.  (Stamping, Laser, Weld, Paint, Assembly, Machining, Lab. (Prototyping and Field Test) 
• Manage team consisting of Salaried supervisors, schedulers and Union workforce across a 3 shift operation spanning 1.7M SqFt.
• Direct the Operation of our world-class Paint System, including Pretreatment, Ecoat, Powder, Conveyance and Waste Water Treatment Facilities.
• Responsibility for both capital and expense budget, staffing, and all oversight of these departments.
• Manage relationships with internal and external customers, vendors and stakeholders to run effective and efficient operations.

What Skills You Need

 

• 5 or more years experience in Industrial Maintenance, Operations or Related Engineering discipline in a large scale manufacturing environment,
• 2 or more years supervising wage teams, ideally Skilled Trades.
• 2 or more years leading Salary teams.
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated team leadership with strong results and high level of accountability.
• Experience in budgeting and scheduling.
• Demonstrated experience driving operational efficiency and improvements.
• Strong Customer Service and Problem Resolution mindset.

What Makes You Stand Out

 

• Experience leading or working in a Technical Services environment
• Experience with the Plant Maintenance Module in SAP, and/or other SAP experience
• Paint System Experience
• Highly organized
• Cross Functional experience - ME, SM, Operations
• Prior Military experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

• Bachelors Degree or Skilled Trades License or equivalent relevant experience
