Head of Data Innovation & Solutions

This new leadership role in the Global Data Office will leverage AI/ML and analytics to maximize the value of Equifax data globally. You will directly lead a small team that uses a consultative approach to partner with business units to innovate and develop prototype solutions that deliver immediate value, and then coordinate with Product and IT to bring those prototypes to full production.

What you’ll do

• Lead development of data solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to identify business needs with enterprise benefits, leveraging data science and analytics to create analyses and prototypes, and partnering with Product and IT in the development and implementation of solutions in production

• Deliver actionable analyses of Equifax data, particularly across data products, to identify additional enterprise value

• Evaluate new data sources and provide recommendations on the value of data sources

• Partner with others in the development of enterprise data architecture, particularly development of an enterprise semantic layer and automation of (data fabric) data management capabilities using AI/ML

• Serves as internal and external SME on data structures, analytics, algorithms/models, and strong computer science fundamentals to lead data preparation, analytics, and development of deployable solutions across multiple projects

• Design prioritization processes to ensure managers are allocating resources to highest priorities, remove obstacles and make organizational changes to meet business needs, and develop business cases to increase resources as appropriate

• Align with key business stakeholders and analyze industry trends to drive strategy and roadmaps for the organization and influence business strategy

• Communicate results to c-level management and external stakeholders, able to communicate the strategic impact of the work linking it back to business strategies, ensuring alignment between various BUs and internal partners.

What experience you need 

• BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent discipline; Master’s Degree strongly preferred

• 10 to 15+ years of related experience, including 3+ years of management experience

• A successful track record of designing and delivering solutions that improve business outcomes across a variety of use cases.

• Experience leading through managers and in a matrixed organization preferred

What could set you apart

• Cloud Certification strongly preferred

• Subject-matter expertise in credit risk assessment, fraud, and consumer marketing 

• Familiarity with data sharing and privacy laws and regulations (FCRA, GDPR/CCPA, etc.)

• Prior experience leveraging design thinking and agile methodologies to drive collaborative execution
