Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of backend engineering experience with NodeJS, currently in a product-based company

• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript (mandatory)

• Expertise in Express.js and PostgreSQL

• Solid understanding of system design principles for scalable and reliable systems

• Hands-on experience with caching tools like Redis or Memcached

• Strong SQL skills and ability to optimize database performance

• Proven experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs

• Exposure to AWS (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, SQS) is a plus

• Ability to collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and leadership

• Strong communication, ownership, and a passion for clean code

Responsibilities

• Own and build robust APIs and backend services end-to-end

• Set and uphold high engineering standards, ensuring code quality and performance

• Conduct PR reviews and mentor junior developers

• Collaborate cross-functionally to clarify requirements and deliver impact

• Focus on customer experience by understanding product usage and behavior

• Write scalable, maintainable, and well-structured code

• Monitor and optimize system performance and reliability
