Salary Range:
FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000 per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.
Your areas of responsibility:
• Work closely with assigned FUCHS Affiliates to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Optimize FUCHS’s value proposition within the customers’ specific applications.
• Implement a prioritized business development strategy, aligning with market trends, technological advancements, and operational objectives.
• Maximize company growth, profitability, and new product development.
• Provide customer-focused technical sales support directly and through FUCHS Affiliates.
• Engage in direct customer interactions, including presentations and technical discussions
• Build and Manage pipeline, driving project lifecycles and ensuring successful closure.
• Foster strong business relationships between FUCHS, global FUCHS Affiliates, and direct customers.
• Develop and offer orientation training for new hires at FUCHS affiliates.
• Interface with FUCHS’s technical group to ensure timely sample testing and reporting in support of Affiliates and direct customers.
• Maintain contact with existing customers’ development engineers, quality engineers, purchasing, and manufacturing departments.
• Coordinate Affiliates’ business support functions, including trade shows, sales meetings, and market-specific research.
• Ensure proper documentation of Affiliate commission split opportunities.
• Partner with FUCHS Manufacturing to launch new business initiatives and support existing business, including annual forecasting and periodic updates.
• Demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written English communication.
• International Travel: Required (one to two weeks every other month).
• Domestic US Travel: As required for company meetings and events.
Qualifications we are looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered. MBA preferred.
• 10+ years experince in business development, international experience preferred.
• Possess strong business development acumen, with knowledge and experience of consultative selling principles and key account management.
• Effectively relay experiences, facts, and strategies to colleagues in the business development group, fostering mentorship and knowledge sharing.
• Communicate technical solutions effectively, bridging the gap between engineering expertise and customer needs.
• Acquire and develop market, industry, and application-specific expertise to drive informed decision-making.
• Demonstrate creative problem-solving abilities, recommending and implementing effective solutions.
• Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma strategies, contributing to operational efficiency.
• General knowledge of procurement concepts, global supply chain processes, materials, and capacity planning.
• Excellent negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through collaboration.
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM program(s).
• Uphold unimpeachable ethics and exhibit effective communication/people skills across diverse cultures, both in-person and via phone/email.
