Pharmacy IS Coordinator - Fulltime

Inova Alexandria Hospital has a great opportunity for a Pharmacy Information Systems (IS) Coordinator to join their team and be an IT resource for the pharmacy.

This is a full-time Monday-Friday hours varies with On call position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identifies and responds to end-user requests and requirements for system modifications and issues.
• Ensures that installations and upgrades are performed with minimal disruption to end-users and all stakeholders are communicated with plans and progress.
• Audits databases to ensure accuracy and initiates action to resolve variances.
• Coordinates the assignment of user passwords and monitors/audits security measures for compliance.
• Reacts quickly to equipment failures while tracking and documenting issues and resolutions.
• Coordinates training for modifications and upgrades including developing appropriate training tools and assesses staff competencies related to Pharmacy IS.

Qualifications:

 Experience:

• Three (3) years Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Omnicell and Epic experience preferred.

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in related field (IT preferred) or 4 years’ experience in lieu of degree.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.

License:

• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license.
