Position Overview: The Sr Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing data models that bridge SAP systems with EDWs. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP data structures, the ability to extract and integrate this data into an EDW, and experience in migrating data to platforms like Snowflake. This role requires a visionary leader who can guide clients through complex data migrations and design scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Model Design: Develop and maintain data models that represent SAP data structures, ensuring they meet the business needs of our clients.
• Data Extraction: Lead efforts to extract data from SAP systems, ensuring accurate, efficient, and secure data transfer to an EDW.
• EDW Integration: Design and implement processes to integrate SAP data into an EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse), with a preference for experience in Snowflake but open to other platforms.
• Migration Projects: Oversee and manage migration projects from SAP to EDW platforms, with a focus on Snowflake. Ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the migration process.
• Solution Architecture: Provide architectural guidance and design innovative solutions for complex data challenges, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and translate these into technical solutions.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of data engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Technology Evaluation: Stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices in data integration and SAP systems, recommending improvements and innovations to clients and the internal team.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years of experience in data architecture, with a strong focus on SAP data models and EDW integration.
• SAP Expertise: Deep understanding of SAP data structures, including experience with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, BW.
• Data Integration: Proven experience in extracting data from SAP systems and integrating it into EDW platforms.
• Programming expertise: in Java, Python and/or Scala 
• Core cloud data platforms: including Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks and GCP
• SQL and the ability to write, debug, and optimize SQL queries
