At our Bear Island facility in Ashland you can develop your full potential, sustainably, by applying your expertise within the Packaging unit as the E&I Maintenance Planner:

 

*This position is located in Ashland, Virginia and relocation assistance is offered. 

 

  • Develop and maintain detailed maintenance plans and schedules for all electrical systems and equipment
  • Create, prioritize, and manage work orders for electrical maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion
  • Coordinate with maintenance technicians and other staff to allocate resources effectively and ensure the availability of necessary tools and materials
  • Support with the preventive maintenance measures to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of electrical equipment.
  • Ensure all electrical maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inspection reports
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and procurement teams to coordinate maintenance activities and support overall manufacturing operations.
  • Participate in the annual action planning process and budget development.
  • Develop and mentor E&I team in Safe Work and Environmental Practices adherent to OSHA Standards.
  • Ensure monitoring of the OHS risks identified in your department

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices. Proficiency in using maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
