This part-time position is part of the Enterprise Cost team, within Caterpillar’s Global Finance Services Division. This team is responsible for enterprise reporting and governance processes for product costing methodology, product cost monitoring, and standard costing. This role will provide support on complex business, financial or managerial issues as it relates to product cost processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Do:

• Provide leadership and support to product cost governance primarily for manufacturing facilities in US time zones.
• Create and utilize automated tools for the updating, analyzing and reporting of product cost monitoring.
• Develop formal documentation and training for product costing, as well as process monitoring and improvements.
• Drive process improvements for Caterpillar’s business and accounting practices, our systems architecture, and procedures (including Product Costing and Standard Cost Revision processes).

• Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

What Will Set You Apart:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 6+ years of accounting experience
• Strong background and understanding of Product Cost and methodology
• Systems experiences in Caterpillar Cost Information System, SAP and/or CBS
• Power BI experience or willingness to learn independently

• This position will be located in Peoria, IL
• This is a Part-time position and will require working onsite
