MISSIONS:
· Promote safety culture in its area of responsibilities
· Plan in-BOM materials and ensure on-time-in-full deliveries from suppliers to fulfill production needs while inventory levels and delivery costs are kept minimum
· Continuously improve the quality of the relationship with suppliers
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
· Ensure that safety policies are understood and respected within area of responsibilities
· Before SOP: during the project phase
· Review the suppliers logistics agreements, in relation with the project team
· After the creation of the open orders and scheduling agreements, place the first
requirements into the system
· Quarterly:
· Calculate material requirements (MRP) from the agreed Sales & Operation Plan (S&OP)
· Communicate forecasts to suppliers / Check that they have available capacity to meet our
demand
· Monthly: plan to meet the forecasted customer demands
· Analyze customers medium term releases, identify the potential impacts on suppliers
· Calculate material requirements through the MRP process
· Communicate updated delivery schedules to suppliers
· Review and adjust when needed the MRP parameters
· Weekly / Daily: plan to achieve the customer call off
· Analyze customers shorter term releases
· Apply the appropriate replenishment method (Shortage list, MRP) to ensure the
availability of in-BOM materials to fulfill the production plan while inventories are kept
minimum
· Follow-up delivery execution with suppliers. Escalate issues to plant management and to the
purchasing organization
· Manage transportation and external storage platforms when needed
· Maintain all logistics master data (Minimum Order Quantity, Call-off issue dates,
Min/Max stock, transit time)
· Monitor communication with suppliers (incl. EDI) and activate contingency plans when
needed
· Participate to the related production planning meetings (quarterly, monthly and weekly)
· Plan/execute inventory cycle counts, conduct analysis in case of deviation
· Manage customs procedures for the entire plant
· Contribute to the TPM Supply-Chain Pillar (and/or to others) – Participate to workshops, etc.
COMPETENCIES:
•College degree or comparable work experience
•Ability to work independently and under pressure
•Strong, clear and effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in a team setting
•Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite (strong MS Excel skills)
•Ability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor will be required in this challenging fast-paced environment
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is required
•Knowledge in production scheduling and planning is required
•Minimum 2-year experience SAP EDI understanding
•Strong SAP knowledge (including but not limited to scheduling agreements, production reporting and standard delivery transaction)
•Must have demonstrated proficiency with data analysis, use of industry standard querying tools and planning capabilities
