Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant II - Hospital Internal Medicine

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hospital Internal Medicine team for a nightshift-only role. This position involves working from 7pm to 7am, providing care for Hospital Internal Medicine and Advanced Care at Home patients. Shifts will include weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain patient history and perform physical examinations.
- Order and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Formulate diagnostic impressions and develop treatment plans.
- Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
- Offer counseling and education to meet patient needs.
- Make appropriate referrals.
- Prescribe and dispense prescription medication in accordance with FL state laws and department policies.
- Perform minor procedures.
- Assess data reflective of patient's status and interpret information relative to patient's age-specific needs.
- Assist with ongoing departmental process improvement and policy development.
- Participate in other departmental or institutional committee assignments as needed.

New Grads will not be considered at this time; 3+ years of NP/PA experience required
Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current FL RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP or ACNP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice.
Additional Qualifications:
Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required.
