On-site Maintenance Technician Assistant

Description
CAMS, Community Association Management Services- a local HOA management company is looking for a full-time 40 hour per week Maintenance Technician Assistant who is an energetic self-starter who works well under minimal supervision for work on-site in Myrtle Beach, SC at a garden-style condominium complex-HOA community.
General Description
Perform general maintenance/projects as assigned by the head technician and assist in the oversight of contractors/vendors in the community. Also includes cleaning of the garden style buildings.
Hours of work are full-time Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week with weekends required.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned work orders in a timely manner
- Control inventory and management of supplies needed in the community for upkeep
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to maintain the physical integrity of the property, amenities, and grounds
- Ensure a safe and secure living environment for residents and visitors
- Anticipate, identify, and correct problems involving the property
- Assist in the oversight of contractors and vendors
- Must be able to generate and perform checklists for ongoing maintenance necessities
- Follow up on service requests and communicate with managers for the highest quality customer service
Requirements
- Must possess your own set of tools, basic tool-bag
- The position requires at least 2 years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent field
- Valid driver’s license
- Attendance and punctuality are essential
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
- Must be available to perform after-hours emergency calls when needed
- Must be able to respond to emergencies promptly when on-call
- Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems
- Must have general construction knowledge including but not limited to light sheetrock repairs and painting
- Must have general knowledge of swimming pool operation
- Must be knowledgeable and skilled with the use of various hand and power tools, lift heavy objects, and climb ladders of varying heights
- Carpentry skills helpful
- Must have basic computer skills to input and complete work orders
Benefits and Pay
The pay for this role is $19.00 - $21.00 hourly based on experience with opportunities for advancement.
