Specific Responsibilities Would Include

Centric Brands is looking for a dynamic, creative and resourceful Associate Manager, Production to join its team. This individual must be a self-starter and team player who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited about joining a team on a journey to accelerate transformation across Centric Brands. The Associate Manager of Production obtains the pricing working with Production Manager, manages order placement, execution and follow-up of manufacturing orders to drive the on-time delivery of quality, profitable goods.

 

Strategy & Innovation

  • Evaluates and manages along Manager vendor performance critically based on purchase order history of on-time delivery, lead time, quality acceptance rates, fulfilment, and margins.
  • Streamlines with Management the factory base for maximum performance of product execution and company deliverables.

Operations & Results 

  • Obtains pricing of owned categories working with Manager to ensure profitability and meet margin goals.
  • On-time placement of final buys.
  • Assist in writing of pos with Production Assistant when necessary.
  • Tracking of factory WIP and production from hand off to final deliveries and ensures all necessary approvals have been obtained.
  • Manages production delivery with Logistics and Operations from x factory to warehouse problem solving any potential disruptions; Makes sure systems are updated real time with information.
  • Manages with staff non-compliance/claims chargebacks with vendors;
  • Manage the coordination of customs classification coordination with Imports. 
  • Troubleshoot quality issues with factories, vendors and team(s).

 Customers & Relationships

  • Partner with cross-functional peers: Sales, Merchandising and Operations, as well as vendors and factories to ensure on time flow of goods relative to orders and anticipated demand criteria.
  • Coordinate communication and follow-up with internal and external customers and contacts regarding production, including suppliers and vendors.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.

Leadership & Teams

  • Contribute positively to team dynamic and manage up and across where necessary.
  • Attract, develop and retain talent.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and coach performance of staff for bench strength and succession planning.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • 3–5 years of experience in product development and/or production
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and global partners/vendor networks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook),SAP, PLM systems a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree  
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated understanding of product development and production processes, with a strong sense of merchandising and customer needs
  • Ability to think both strategically and operationally, balancing big-picture goals with executional detail
  • Proactive problem-solver with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcome.
