Maintenance Technician II - 3rd Shift

Overview:
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing complex maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires a level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.

What You'll Do:

• Perform corrective maintenance on production equipment, including pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes, and conveyor systems.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, such as misalignments, bearing failures, and seal leaks, using technical manuals and schematics.

• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure production efficiency.

• Assist Preventative Maintenance Technicians in developing and optimizing PM tasks and schedules.

• Train and mentor Technician 1 staff, providing guidance on best practices and safety procedures.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including parts inventory, equipment history, and repair logs.

• Collaborate with production and quality teams to identify and address equipment-related issues affecting product quality.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including OSHA, FDA, and USDA requirements.

What You'll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred.

• 4+ years of experience in a maintenance or mechanical role, preferably in food manufacturing or a similar industry.

• Proficient in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
