About the role

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and update HR policies, procedures, and employee manual to ensure alignment with legal requirements and organizational standards.

  • Research, interpret, and monitor employment regulatory compliance. Identify potential impacts on the organization and lead the analysis, recommendation, and implementation of any changes to or additions of company policies, procedures, and practices. Ensure compliance documentation is accurate and provided timely.

  • Conduct periodic internal audits and reviews of HR processes, records, and practices to identify potential compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.

  • Assist in the development of training for employees, managers, and HR team on policies, procedures, and legal obligations to foster a compliant work environment.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records related to compliance initiatives, employee records, and mandatory filings.

  • Assist in handling and investigating issues of non-compliance, recommending corrective actions to mitigate legal risks and prevent future violations.

  • Maintain and create HR compliance documentation. Prepare reporting and communications on compliance activities and findings.

  • Oversee the process and timely completion of all HR compliance employee tasks, including but not limited to background checks, I-9 verifications (new hire and re-verifications), legal name changes, compliance training completion, completion of employer required acknowledgements and attestations, etc.

Qualifications

Required Education and Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in employment compliance, legal, or HR required.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.

  • Strong attention to detail required.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR preferred.

  • SHRM and/or PHR certification preferred.

  • Experience with Human Resources Management Software preferred.

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided.  The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 per year.  Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
