Lancashire Constabulary’s Finance Department is seeking an Accountant to be based at Hutton Headquarters. The site is accessible by public transport and there is also free car parking on site.

Please note there is 1 permanent position and 1 temporary position until 31/12/2024 (subject to review).

The purpose of this role is to monitor and maintain a range of budgets including the treatment of external funding and grants and provide a focal point for advice, support and guidance to the Constabulary. You will be required to lead and motivate staff in providing comprehensive accounting services to departments and employees of the Constabulary, manage the Accounts Payable function ensuring that payments are made in line with statutory guidance, manage the Accounts Receivable function including the allocation of income and debt management in line with agreed policies and procedures and prepare and produce Statement of Accounts and supporting documents for the Chief Constable and Police & Crime Commissioner.
