What You Will Do (Core Responsibilities):

• Provide technical guidance to the R&D team, and conduct research and development in computer vision and image processing techniques.
• Research and develop computer models and algorithms for image analysis, pattern recognition, and other AI-driven computer vision applications.
• Design and build large-scale datasets for training image analysis, pattern recognition, and other computer vision neural networks.
• Collaborate with other teams, such as software development, product management, and data engineering, to ensure successful integration of computer vision solutions.
• Test models by conducting in-house experiments, as well as collaborate with the external teams for outsourced testing and validation.
• Optimize the selected models for various hardware (including edge devices), and develop cloud and server-based solutions for image analysis, voice recognition and other pattern recognition applications.
• Develop prototypes for innovative computer vision solutions such as object detection, activity recognition, and scene understanding, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring them to the market.
• Develop and implement research project plans, setting milestones and deadlines to ensure timely completion of R&D activities.
• Report on R&D progress to senior management, providing updates on project status and key performance indicators.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision, machine learning, and related fields to maintain a competitive edge and drive innovation.

What You Will Need (Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• Education Requirements:
• PhD degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field; coursework or academic research to include image identification or artificial intelligence.
• 2 years of experience in machine learning, data science, artificial intelligence or a combination of these fields (to include any relevant job titles within these occupations).
• In lieu of a PhD degree and 2 years of experience, employer will accept a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field (coursework or academic research to include image identification or artificial intelligence) and 5 years of experience in machine learning, data science, artificial intelligence or a combination of these fields (to include any relevant job titles within these occupations).


• Work Experience Requirements:
• Two years of experience utilizing Agile Development methodologies (3 years for the applicants with a Master’s degree); must include 2 years of experience leading Agile teams.
• Two years of experience in: Python programming, using Tensorflow or Pytorch; and working with Linux, Docker, git and   MongoDB.
• Two years of experience in designing and training of neural network architectures, including Deep Convolutional Networks.
• Two yea
