Job Title/High-Level Position Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to lead downstream marketing and drive the growth of the Companion Animal Health portfolio. Responsible for delivering top and bottom-line metrics through developing and leading execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition and retention with end-consumers of the company’s products and services.
This is a downstream, market activation role that will collaborate within the marketing team and with cross-functional departments such as demand generation and sales to deliver data-driven marketing initiatives that support business growth and align with overall company objectives. This position supports the development of global marketing strategy and the development of global new product platforms from ideation through launch and post-launch management.
Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and have a company-wide effect. Typically manages one or more departments of Professional track employees and may have subordinate Supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directs and develops the marketing efforts of Recovery Sciences Companion product portfolio to maximize revenue and profitability from a category level.
- Develop and lead execution of downstream marketing strategies to achieve company objectives with customers
- Identify key market trends, consumer insights, and competitive dynamics to inform marketing strategies and product positioning
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing initiatives and ensure proper tracking and measurement of performance against goals
- Oversee personalization and segmentation strategies to ensure marketing efforts resonate with key audience segments
- Utilize data-driven insights to adjust marketing strategies and optimize effectiveness against business growth goals
- Provide regular reporting and presentations to senior leadership, highlighting marketing performance, opportunities, and challenges
- Work closely with demand generation team members to implement compelling marketing strategies that align with the brand’s vision and bmission while also accomplishing assigned business objectives
- Customer, Competitive & Market Insights & Analytics- Plan & execute market research, competitive assessments, and generate insights on new technologies and BD opportunities
- New Product Launches: Lead the New Product Launch in US including positioning, messaging, claims, and go-to-market plans.
- Partner and share with Intl markets for new product launches.
- Develop US marketing plan, and quarterly POA for assigned portfolio. Guide the team in meeting day-to-day needs of the Companion Sales team.
- Supervisory Responsibility – Leads a team of product managers assigned to the portfolio. Hires, trains, develops and retains a talented team.
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience or equivalent with marketing/ in-line brand management experience in the medical device industry
- Must have experience in US downstream marketing
- Experience in Vet Market
- Proven track record of developing Marketing team members
- Supervisory Skills - ability to direct and manage a department or team of employees. Responsible for both direct and indirect reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Proficiency in marketing analytic tools (Sales Force, Power BI, HubSpot etc)
Travel Requirements:
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time; both domestic and international travel is may be required.
- Typical work related travel assignments range 1-3 days, and as such overnight, out-of-town stays are required.
Desired Characteristics:
- Experienced in Global/ Upstream Strategic Marketing a plus
- Medical Capital Equipment marketing experience is a plus
