We are looking for a Compositing Supervisor to collaborate with other artists, post-production specialists, machine learning engineers, and research scientists.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Mentor junior compositors as necessary
• Review WIP and provide constructive feedback to assist compositors
• Composite shots of any level of difficulty
• Engage with the VFX Supervisor to suggest improvements to pipeline and processes
• Liaise with the VFX Supervisor/Production Lead to estimate time needed to complete shots
• QC finished composites to identify problems and suggest solutions
• Develop specific compositing methods for visual dubbing of faces

Requirements

• 3 years+ compositing experience.
• Skilled in Nuke X, ideally including the SplineWarp, Smart Vector and MatchGrade nodes.

• Skilled at tracking and matchmoving, ideally including good knowledge of KeenTools FaceTracker plugins for Nuke.
• 3D camera tracking and projections.

• Skilled at object removal, CG compositing and paint work.
• A keen eye for detail, especially in face work.
• Experience in leading a team of compositing artists.

Bonus Skills include

• Experience with Davinci Resolve, Blackmagic Fusion
• Experience with 3D and enhancing 3D renders with 2D effects
• Python scripting.

Candidates must be authorized to legally work in the United States and be available to work in our office in Santa Monica office in a hybrid role.
