About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our dedicated scrum team focused on AI solutions for sales teams. In this role, you will oversee the development practices, drive architectural excellence, and set high standards for code quality. You will also be responsible for managing a team of five engineers and ensuring the team’s resources are effectively aligned with project goals. This is a pivotal role for someone passionate about fostering a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture.

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor a team of five engineers, providing guidance, performance feedback, and career development support.
• Drive best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with product goals.
• Develop and enforce code review standards, ensuring high-quality and maintainable codebases.
• Oversee architectural design and decisions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Manage team resources, including workload distribution, capacity planning, and hiring as needed.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends, applying relevant insights to team practices.
• Ensure effective use of primary technologies, including React JS, Java Spring Framework, and Google Cloud Platform services.
• Monitor and report on team progress and technical performance metrics to leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong hands-on experience with React JS and Java Spring Framework.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and its services is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, with a focus on professional growth and team success.
• Expertise in software development methodologies, particularly agile and scrum practices.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
• Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
