Transporter, Radiology Full Time

Description

Transports newborn , infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients to the Radiology Department. Collects and deposits soiled linen in appropriate areas, orders supplies and assists technologists with moving patients. Aids the technologist in radiographic film processing and other non-technical duties as required. Has no access to patient health information.

Shift: M-F 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Previous Radiology and /or patient care experience desired.
• Has acquired experience or possesses appropriate capabilities as determined by the Director of Radiology.
• Moving patients, pushing wheelchairs and stretchers and lifting film processing supplies. 
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
