Job Summary: The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care through assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient and family needs within the Illinois Physical Therapy Practice Act's parameters to deliver care promoting optimal recovery and rehabilitation. The Physical Therapist promotes safe and effective care to adults to coordinate care with the physician and any others involved in the patient's care. Age-specific competency is measured by a variety of methods, which could include, but is not limited to: self-learning packets, review of age-specific guidelines, direct observation, video presentations, department-specific class, policies and procedures, chart review, and goals.
