Prospect groups/individuals for private events/social events/weddings while ensuring that revenue goals are achieved or exceeded by soliciting, developing, and closing business. Base pay plus uncapped commission. Estimated total income for meeting to exceeding expectations would be from $100,000.00 to $125,000.00+. Ventanas is a private event facility that features dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows revealing a breathtaking view of Downtown and Midtown Atlanta. This extraordinary all-encompassing event venue is conveniently perched atop the fourteenth and fifteenth stories of the Park Pavilion building, which includes a 2,500 square foot outdoor patio, overlooking downtown Atlanta’s Centennial Park District. In addition to the views, we have an amazing culinary experience, and a wide selection of services including a rooftop Helipad for that spectacular departure. We also have 242 guest rooms to accommodate your overnight clients.

Primary Duties:
Consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals
Pursuing new and repeat catering business that fits the hotel sales parameters per guidelines established by the VP of Sales
Handling catering sales for meetings and special events
Establishing a strong networking presence within the local hotel community
Developing and engaging in relationship-driven and long-term business relationships
Creating awareness of groups in all internal staff, communicating information with other hotel departments in a timely manner to facilitate efficient purchasing, scheduling and staffing
Providing personal attention to clients while they are at the hotel to ensure total guest satisfaction
Developing relationships with local vendors for table arrangements, limousines, photographers, etc.
Assisting in the development of banquet menus and pricing
Conducting site inspections with potential clients
Maintaining accuracy of Catering information in Sales Pro / Catering / CITY
QualificationsQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing, Business, or a related field
3+ years of experience in catering, hotel, or restaurant sales
Results and deadline driven
Must be conversant with culinary techniques and food creativity. Knowledgeable with banquet and audio-visual sets.
A creative and analytical mind with strong attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced, changing deadlines, and balancing multiple projects
Able to work independently and multi-task while being productive and timely
High level of organizational skills
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and holidays
