ReactJS Front-end expert, North AmericaJob DescriptionControlUp is the market leader in products for monitoring, self-healing and analyzing customers’ virtual and physical desktop environments, creating SaaS products that save IT organizations time, money, and stress.We are looking for a ReactJS expert to join the physical end-point products division (aka Edge DX team) in North America. This is a full-time, permanent remote position.This role is a great opportunity to work on cutting edge SaaS cloud technologies (Azure/NodeJS/ElasticSearch/ReactJS), programming languages (TypeScript) and use uber agile software development processes (Iterative weekly releases using FDD).Description of Work:· Work within a geographically dispersed team of professionals in the US, Canada, UK and Israel and be an integral part of ControlUp’s success.· Design, implement & test web-based enterprise software front ends in ReactJS using TypeScript and JavaScript (we are migrating to TypeScript).· Be a go to expert for ReactJS knowledge within the Cloud team.· Participate in the full life cycle of agile project development that delivers new customer updates/deployments every week (think 1-week Sprints).· Work with back-end developers and Desktop Agent developers to develop RESTful APIs.· Understand business problem statements, user scenarios, and technical constraints.· Work with Product Owners to develop user stories from high level requirements.· Perform thorough unit and functional testing of the code to ensure high quality products.· Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies to ensure we are always using the best practices.· Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills in English.Must haves:· 5+ years of experience creating commercial web-based enterprise front-end applications in ReactJS gained at a software product or SaaS company.· 5+ years of TypeScript and/or JavaScript, HTML / CSS.· Expert knowledge of ReactJS and commonly used modules· Expert knowledge of how to tune ReactJS applications for scale and performance when working with huge data sets.· Expert knowledge of creating custom, reusable modules and components which extend core frameworks.· Strong knowledge of jQuery, REST APIs, AJAX.· Strong knowledge of responsive web design principles and associated frameworks.· Experience using distributed version control such as Git/Bit Bucket/Azure DevOps.· Experience with agile development methodologies, ideally Feature Driven Development.· Organised, confident, self-motivating, team player.· Must have excellent verbal and written English.· Experience working in small start-up culture companies with high velocity.· Experience working with team members in different time zones.· Must be eligible to work in the US or Canada.· Must hold a valid passport and be able to obtain Visas to visit North America (USA and Canada) and the UK for quarterly meetings and occasionally other international destinations.Preferred :· Full-stack experience using NodeJS, Express and No-SQL databases/search engines (we use OpenSearch) on the backend.· ChartJS.· Redux.· Asynchronous programming experience.· Experience with CI/CD principles and tools preferably Azure DevOps· Microservices architecture and design principles and scalability best practices.· Experience developing products used by IT administrators.About our team:· Our team has a startup culture – anything is possible, we wear multiple hats when necessary to get the job done.· Our number one focus is delivering new customer value (fixes and features) every week.· The entire team from top to bottom are/were developers and testers, so we make decisions based on sound engineering principles.
