Your role at Clorox:

The Operations Department Leader is responsible for supporting departmental daily operations, driving Safety, quality and output at the 24/7 Amherst site.

In this role, you will:

In this role, the Operations Department Leader will serve as a “manufacturing generalist” for all department operating team members focusing on daily management and coordination of safety, quality, costs, raw material management, customer service, people development, and performance management.  The role leads the identification of continuous improvement opportunities, to include resource identification and direction to execute.  The person will also provide input into success criteria for projects and product innovations as well as operational readiness leadership and/or support on innovation implementations.

What we look for:

• 3+ years of operational experience

• Manufacturing experience

• Prior direct leadership and/or management experience

• Demonstrate strong people leadership by motivating teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and challenging the status quo to drive operational excellence.

• Operational technical experience

• Team leadership, facilitation and consensus building working thru engagement of various levels of the organization

• Excellent oral/written communication and people skills

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to leverage multiple reporting platforms to leverage the appropriate data.

• Desire to move upward and relocate within Clorox

• Exposure to World Class Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, Lean, or 6 sigma is Preferred

• BS/BA – Technical/Engineering, operations, or Business or equivalent experience Preferred

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
