Team Introduction

PICO is a leading VR/AR platform with independent innovation and R&D capabilities, focusing on VR all-in-one technology. PICO is committed to offering immersive and interactive VR experiences to our customers, including providing tailor-made solutions for our enterprise clients in the fields of education and healthcare.

This Internship Program is for 12 weeks duration, with the Fall Internships beginning in August/September 2023. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following internship cycles below:

1. August 14, 2023 to November 3, 2023
2. September 5, 2023 to November 24, 2023

We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).

Responsibilities:
- Develop next generation AR/VR optics and the tools for the optical design
- Explore the application of: wave optics, polarization optics, and/or geometrical optics
- Collaborate with other PICO team to explore novel design for AR/VR optics
- Build simulations tools and/or prototypes to study new concepts and the user experience impact of those new ideas

Qualifications

- Bachelors student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Knowledge of electromagnetism and optics
- Experience with programming
- Experience with laboratory work
- Good communication skills
- Optical Science or Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, computational imaging or a related field
- Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description Intern (hourly)

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $59- $59. We cover 100% premium coverage for Full-Time intern medical insurance after 90 days from the date of hire. Medical coverage only, no dental or vision coverage.​

Our time off and leave plans are: Paid holidays and paid sick leave. The sick leave entitlement is based on the time you join.​
