Medical Assistant (Front and Back Office)

Description

Medical Assistant Mandatory qualifications  

· Excellent customer service & interpersonal skills

· Good command of English (Bilingual- English + Spanish, Russian, Chinese. Mandarin, Tagalog Is always welcomed)

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Multi-Tasking capabilities

· Medical terminology knowledge 

· Must have Medical Assistant Experience

· Electronic Health Record Knowledge- Data entry –  (EPIC Electronic Health Record Experience is preferred)

· Strong daily computer skills

· Comfort with interacting & assisting the elderly and disabled.

Front Desk Duties

This position will include the following duties in addition to others as needed.

· Answering phones and directing calls/ taking messages

· Assist with Scheduling appointments.

· Confirming and or rescheduling of appointments

· Scheduling Procedures / Surgeries

· Responding to patient phone calls & messages

· Insurance knowledge / Verification

· Electronic Health Record – EPIC – data entry required.

· Scanning & faxing

Back Office Duties

This position will include the following duties in addition to others as needed.

· Able to obtain vitals & Abi’s / medical history / medical record reconciliation.

· Sterilization of instruments

· Prepping Exam Rooms / Cleaning & Sterilizing after each patient

· Stocking, Inventory Control

· Assisting in procedures – Vein Ablations, Angiograms, etc

· Bandaging / Wrapping.

Compensation will be based on experience 

Pay Scale/Ranges:

$21.00-$41.50/hour (and the hourly equivalent for salaried employees).*

The patey scale/ranges shown are representative of the pay rates for the job title reflected above, but an employees actual pay rate will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
