Shell’s B2B power retail businesses are growing. To support this growth, you will build out a digital marketing capability, initially for the retail business in the US with the intent to roll out globally at a later stage.
What’s the role?
The Senior Solution Architect leads a team of developers to support the global rollout of this capability, and takes responsibility for establishing, documenting, and maintaining a clean software architecture.

Accountabilities:
- Lead a team of developers to create and roll out a digital marketing capability
- Establish, document, and maintain sound software architecture
- Liaise with business stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met.
- Foster a culture of excellence within your team
- Provide coaching to junior team members
- Bring full-stack knowledge of backend software engineering, including Python, PostgreSQL, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Github
- Experience with SalesForce is a plus
- Experience with Mailchimp and Sendgrid is a plus
- Experience with MongoDB is a plus
- Experience with Dagster is a plus
What we need from you?
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- Minimum six (6) years professional experience, can work solely without supervision
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Demonstrable previous experience setting up a digital marketing capability
- Product Complexity: high
- Team Size: technical lead of a small scrum team with potential for scaling up

Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives.
