Salary range: $83,984-$104,980 Posting expires: December 11, 2024   General Description and Classification Standards   The Business Services Unit is seeking a highly organized and proactive leader to oversee the Employee Services Team. This position is responsible for managing several key administrative functions within the department, with a primary focus on position management, vacancy tracking, and fostering strong collaboration with Human Resources and other business units. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with the ability to drive initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness, foster collaboration, and elevate team performance.
  Essential Duties & Responsibilities These are typical responsibilities for this position and should not be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. May perform other duties as assigned.   • Provide direction, support, and mentorship to staff to maintain high standards of performance and service delivery. • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development by identifying skill gaps and implementing training opportunities for the team. • Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for process improvements. • Ensure clear documentation of processes and procedures, establishing efficient and repeatable systems for managing vacancies. • Develop and manage reports and dashboards to track key metrics related to position management, vacancy tracking, and team performance. • Ensure that all Employee Services functions are executed efficiently, meeting established performance standards and deadlines. • Work closely with Human Resources to continuously assess and enhance the onboarding and offboarding processes. • Collaborate with various business units to identify training needs, gaps in skills, and areas for improvement within their teams. • Provide guidance and support in the development and refinement of training programs that align with both departmental goals and overall organizational objectives.   Leadership Expectations Typically has management and/or skills development responsibilities. Routinely provides work group leadership, guidance, and/or training to less experienced staff.
  Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Ability to take initiative, anticipate challenges, and develop strategies that support long-term success. • Ability to lead through change and adjust strategies to effectively respond to shifting business demands. • Ability to identify areas for improvement, streamline processes, and implement effective solutions based on data and analysis. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and facilitate cross-functional collaboration. • Strong leadership and management expertise.  • Effective time management for both self and others, utilizing logical reasoning to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of various solutions, conclusions, or approaches to challenges. • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and drive continuous development and improvement. • Analyze data utilizing a variety of complex processes • Develop and maintain positive working relationships and provide clear and concise direction • Exceptional service orientation and commitment to meeting customer needs.   Supervision Received • Reports to the Airport Assistant Director, Business Services • Works under very general supervision; may work independently with responsibility for an assigned function or program  
  Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, finance, accounting, or related field • 5 years of leadership, management or aviation experience is required • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently • Strong focus on customer service • Strategic thinking abilities • Proven experience providing operational support as a HR liaison.    Preferred Education & Experience • Master’s degree in business, public administration, finance, human resources, accounting or related field • 5-8 years of professional experience in administration and budgeting   Licensures and Certifications Candidate will be expected to have licensure or professional certifications appropriate to the position if necessary.
