Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Interstate Assembly Systems is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented First Shift Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse Associate to support our Marshfield, Wisconsin operations. This role plays a critical part in supporting production through accurate material handling, inventory control, and warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the production schedule by printing, picking, and delivering materials and parts to production using our distribution system; ensure all picks are accurate.
- Interface daily with project managers, engineering, and production staff to ensure order accuracy.
- Process paperwork and perform data entry related to work orders and physical material movements in SX.
- Follow warehousing policies and procedures, including material issues/receipts, storage, and location controls.
- Check in inventory, put away stock orders, and maintain organized warehouse locations.
- Maintain filing systems for SRO files in accordance with warehouse procedures.
- Process all returns to stock inventory per established warehouse processes.
- Assist with warehouse efficiencies, including part locations and process improvements.
- Maintain warehouse metrics.
- Support and participate in 5S Lean methodologies.
- Serve as a backup for other warehouse positions as needed.
- Perform end-of-day cleanup and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Adhere to all Interstate Companies safety procedures and policies.
- Assist with general shipping, receiving, and warehouse duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of material handling experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with Lean methodologies preferred.
- Proficient with material handling equipment, including forklifts and reach lifts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities.
- Ability to routinely lift 25–50 lbs.; occasional lifting of over 50 lbs. required.
