Position Summary
As the ERP Transformation Program Financials Lead you will lead the financial management functions of CPS Energy’s Transformation Program. You will ensure consistency of program financial management functions, manage all planning and key financial metrics and ensure compliance with both CPS Energy’s policies as well as GASB.
Working closely with Program and CPS Senior Leadership, you will help establish, monitor, and control program budgets. The role includes developing and supporting a culture of financial discipline, collaboration, and continuous learning to drive business value creation, operational excellence, and people development.
You will be a good fit if you have strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Senior Leadership, program managers, project managers, and other key stakeholders.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Value Creation:
- Develop and maintain program financial models to support investment decisions, including the development and reporting on key financial metrics
- Collaborate with program teams to develop and monitor program budgets, ensuring alignment with program goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain program financial dashboards to monitor program performance against objectives
- Support Program Leadership in identifying financial dependencies and program milestones across various workstreams
- Identify areas of automation across program’s Finance Operations
- Provide financial insights, solutions, and controls to maximize value
Business Operations:
- Collaborate with program teams to develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts and track actual program costs
- Provide guidance and support to program teams in the management of program finances, including the identification and management of financial risks and issues
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, ensuring financial goals and objectives are understood and supported
- Manage relationships with external financial partners, such as vendors and auditors Perform change management activities in support of program objectives, driving consistency across various business areas
- Establish necessary KPIs to measure performance against objectives
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and GASB principles
People Development:
- Develop and maintain a culture of financial discipline and continuous learning within the program financials team, including providing training and coaching to team members.
- Lead and mentor the program financials team, providing guidance on financial management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Foster a collaborative working environment, ensuring effective communication and coordination between program teams and stakeholders.
Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Demonstrated years of experience in program financial management or related field.Demonstrated level years of people management experience; ideally with teams greater than 10 resources.Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to manage program financials, including budget development and management, financial forecasting, and risk management
- Strong knowledge of financial management methodologies, tools, and techniques
- Experience working in a large-scale organization and complex environments, perhaps in a Consulting role
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, including presenting to C-Suite Executives
- Experience using various Financial Accounting and budgeting tools
- Experience managing change and driving organizational transformation
- Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements, including GASB
