About the job

The Clinical Research Assistant will support the clinical affairs team on multiple clinical studies going on at Visby Medical. They will have an important role in study start-up, digital tracking, and maintenance of important study documents (e.g. case report forms, site staff certificates, study protocols and accountability logs).    

How you’ll make an impact

• Ensure protection of participants rights and well being by understanding and complying with Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
• Assist in establishing various databases; keep established databases updated
• Organize, file and maintain study-specific trial management files
• Order, ship, and maintain clinical study supplies and inventory
• Ship and track investigational materials to study sites
• Coordinate technical support for clinical research associates
• Screen and consent participants for in house studies
• Maintain in-house clinical biorepository
• Accession and handle laboratory samples per SOP
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned

On your first day we’d like you to have

• 0-1 years of related job experience. Bachelor’s Degree (life science or health science discipline preferred). Experience with computer software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Workspace.

Unique aspects of this job

• Travel:  No travel
• Schedule:  M-F onsite. 
• Physical aspects:  Standing, sitting, walking safe chemicals handling, and safe lifting

Salary Range:

• $22 - $26 (hourly range for candidates based in San Jose, CA)
• Compensation for the role is based on geographical location. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly.
• Compensation also depends on a number of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
