About the role

Position Summary

The Field Engineer supports the project team by assisting with on-site coordination, quantity tracking, documentation, and daily progress monitoring. This role is designed as a developmental position, providing hands-on exposure to field operations, project controls, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend and observe pre-job and planning meetings.

  • Review project plans, schedules, and related documentation.

  • Track installed quantities in the field and assist with progress reporting.

  • Verify material deliveries and track delivery tickets for accuracy.

  • Observe and report daily progress on assigned job sites.

  • Maintain accurate quantity logs and material delivery records.

  • Begin developing communication skills with customers and vendors under guidance.

  • Assist with project layout, measurements, and field documentation under direct supervision.

  • Learn and utilize InEight or other project tracking systems for reporting and documentation.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications.

  • Developing organizational and documentation skills.

  • Ability to coordinate and communicate with Project Managers and Superintendents.

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook preferred).

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • Internship or field experience is a plus but not required.

  • Willingness to work in a field environment and travel as needed.
