Key Functions and Expected Performance:


Manage day-to-day operations and priorities of the program assigned:
•    Execute administrative and business-related tasks in direct support of the Assistant Dean, Director, and              Administration.
•    Initiate and execute new activities and provide ongoing program support to ensure the needs of 
     the directors, faculty, and students are met.
•    Create and execute policies and operational procedures by utilizing a variety of management 
     systems and technology tools and initiate cost-effective program improvements.
•    Facilitate faculty committees, as assigned, to implement a variety of projects and serve on 
     each committee.
•    Serve as liaison between Program Office and VUSN Admissions Office.
•    Coordinate and organize projects with other assigned staff supporting other VUSN programs and 
     specialties.
•    Assist the Assistant Dean with the annual review of the VUSN Student Handbook.
•    Produce, disseminate, and track Letters of Understanding.

Provide technical and professional leadership for planning, developing, and executing the Program 
and related events/services/activities:
•    Manage all aspects of academic and student services including enrollment (YES), orientations, 
     blocks/intensives, and open house events.
•    Provide administrative related support to faculty (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and YES).

Manage admissions and hiring processes:
•    Work closely with the Assistant Dean for VUSN Academics in the admissions and hiring 
     processes, to include but not limited to organizing files and arranging interviews.
•    Serve as program administrator for the online application system (Slate) and ensure that 
     faculty training needs are met.

Financial Responsibilities:
•    Maintain One Card, including Oracle expense reports and act as a delegate for faculty travel 
     for the assigned Assistant Dean and Director.
•    Develop DNP program budget in collaboration with the Assistant Dean for Academics, Doctoral 
     Nursing Practice, and the Director of Nurse Anesthesia.
•    Manage the budget (program operating budget), including reconciling monthly reports, 
     monitoring expenses, and purchasing needed supplies.
•    Oversee planning and expense management of DNP program guest speakers.

Manage public relations and marketing efforts for the program:
•    Manage the dissemination of information about the programs and accomplishments to relevant 
     audiences, while collaborating with VUSN Executive Director of Communications and Marketing.
•    Manage program websites including determining content, working with Senior Graphic 
     Designer/Multimedia Specialist for photographs, and determining content of web videos.
•    Develop, organize, and host webinars and e-mail marketing for recruitment campaigns.

Supervisory Relationships:
•    This position has no supervisory responsibility at this time, however there is a plan for this 
     position to supervise a program manager position.

Education and Certifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education is preferred. Years 
     relevant experience may be applied in lieu of a degree.

Experience and Skills:
•    5+ years of experience in higher education is necessary.
•    Demonstrated attention to detail is strongly preferred.
•    Strong organizational skills are strongly preferred.
•    Experience with Microsoft Office is necessary.
•    Experience with Google Docs, Adobe, ZOOM and Slate are preferred.
•    Prior experience with the development of flow ch
