The Role
The mission of the Senior Frontend Engineer is to develop and deliver innovative and engaging user interfaces, utilising the latest frontend technologies and best practices, to create exceptional responsive web applications that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the successful delivery of projects from conception to production, with a strong focus on UX/UI design and optimisation for the mobile market. Strive for continuous improvement in development processes and methodologies, and maintain a deep understanding of emerging technologies and trends in the industry

Requirements

• Developing responsive web applications using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (JS) while adhering to best practices and utilising the latest frontend technologies.
• Participate and contribute to the modernisation efforts of the Kooomo Frontend capabilities such as API-first responsive web applications.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, backend developers, project managers, and stakeholders, to drive successful project delivery from conception to production.
• Optimising and debugging complex web applications for the mobile market.
• Utilising Agile development methodology and participating in Scrum meetings, sprint planning, and other Agile practices as required.
• Continuously improving development processes and methodologies, staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the industry.
• Providing regular updates and reports to project stakeholders and clients.
• Contributing to the design and development of UI/UX, prototyping, wireframing, and/or mock-up methods.
• Working with additional technologies such as LESS, Git, Handlebarsjs, Bootstrap framework, Smarty, PHP, or others when appropriate
• Providing technical documentation on frontend development processes, code, and applications
• Collaborating with UX/UI designers and providing feedback on design iterations or wireframes.
  

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in frontend technologies: The Frontend Developer should have strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, as well as the latest trends and best practices in frontend development.
• Experience with responsive web design: The Frontend Developer should have experience building responsive web applications that are optimised for various screen sizes and devices.
• API-first development: The Frontend Developer should have experience building API-first responsive web applications, as well as integrating frontend and backend technologies.
• Collaborative skills: The Frontend Developer should have good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients.
• Agile methodology: The Frontend Developer should have exposure to Agile development methodology, including Scrum meetings, sprint planning, and other Agile practices.
• Debugging and optimization: The Frontend Developer should have  strong experience optimising and debugging complex ecommerce applications.
• Continuous learning: The Frontend Developer should have a passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the industry
